Jeep Compass vs Kia Seltos vs Tata Harrier vs MG Hector: The recent launches in the midsize SUV segment have given ample of options to the car buyers. The products that have bought storm in the market are Jeep Compass, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, and MG Hector. The four SUVs gives more than enough options for one to choose from. They start from INR 9.69 lakh for Kia Seltos and goes as high as INR 21.41 lakh (ex-showroom) for Jeep Compass base model.
Starting with the Kia Seltos, it is first offering by the brand which is comparatively longer and wider than the Hyundai’s Creta. It has got tiger-nose grille, large LED headlamps, and stylish front bumper. Mechanically the car gets three engine options – 1.5-Litre Petrol, 1.5-Litre Diesel, and 1.4-Litre Turbo Petrol.
The second product in the list is MG Hector. It is available in three engine variants – 1.5-litre Petrol, 2.0-litre Diesel, and a 48V mild-hybrid variant with the Petrol engine. Going by the looks of the car it gets a tweaked front grille exhibiting a honeycomb design. The SUV comes featured with LED and DRLs which complements its unique styling.
The Tata Harrier was launched in India in January with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 12.69 lakh. This SUV is available in four variants that are XE, XM, XT, and XZ. The car looks premium considering its designs and interiors. The front grille of the car looks aggressive which complies with LED daytime running light. The SUV comes feature loaded onto the top model.
Jeep Compass was launched last year for the Indian market. Mechanically it is available in petrol and diesel engines. A few months back, Jeep also introduced a Trailhawk variant of this SUV which got a refined 9-speed automatic gearbox.
