The University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Punjab University is situated in sector 14, Chandigarh. It is a premier institution of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in the country. PEC University of Technology is situated in sector 12, Chandigarh. The PEC University moved from Lahore and established its campus in Chandigarh in 1953. The academic and administrative processes are similar to IITs in the country. They operate on the mission:- To build across the institute a culture of excellence in teaching and learning with needed performance and accountability from all support activities.

It provides all three Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate programmes in its campus and the admission criteria for undergraduate courses  depends upon the cut off they finalise for their own entrance exams or other entrance procedures. Chandigarh College of Architecture ( CCA) is situated in sector 12D, vidya path, Chandigarh. The college was established in 1961 to impart education in architecture. Le Corbusier, who developed Chandigarh's master plan in 1951, got CCA established as a part of the Chandigarh Experiment. The campus is housed inside PEC University and has over 200 students studying for the course of Bachelors of Architecture. Their placement record is very much high as compared to other Institutes.

GMCH is situated in sector 32, Chandigarh. The medical school is administered by Punjab University. It was established in 1991 and has a 36 acres campus. The Medical College has an intake of 100 students towards the MBBS degree. It also offers Post-Graduate courses (MD/MS) in a number of medical and surgical subjects.
