PEC University of Technology is situated in sector 12, Chandigarh. The PEC University moved from Lahore and established its campus in Chandigarh in 1953. The academic and administrative processes are similar to IITs in the country. They operate on the mission:- To build across the institute a culture of excellence in teaching and learning with needed performance and accountability from all support activities.
It provides all three Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate programmes in its campus and the admission criteria for undergraduate courses depends upon the cut off they finalise for their own entrance exams or other entrance procedures. The admission to postgraduate courses is based on the percentile score of applicants in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). They have various research groups and other in house projects for providing a commendable learning experience to the students with a very high placement record.
