It is also a site for the protection of the species of tigers and is one of the most preserved National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries in India. The park has almost 300 species of trees and 50 aquatic plants, together with 272 species of birds and 12 of reptiles including the Marsh Crocodile & amphibians and 30 species of mammals. If you are lucky, you can also come across an elusive Indian wolf during the jeep safari. Ranthambhore Fort, Bakula, Kachida Valley, Lakarda Anantpura and Jogi Mahal are some other attractions near the area.
