The eighth generation Honda Civic didn’t do best with the audience due to the lack of a diesel engine variant though the brand isn’t much keen on repeating the same blunder with the all-new 2019 Honda Civic. It gets 1.6-litre i-DTEC EarthDreams, DOHC, four-cylinder engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 120 PS and an utmost torque of 300 Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox while offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.8 kmpl, being best in class. The 1.8-litre i-VTEC SOHC petrol engine guarantees a power coefficient of 141 PS and a maximum torque of 174 Nm. It is mated to a CVT automatic transmission coupled with paddle shifters.

The all-new 2019 Honda Civic petrol variant is equipped with a first-in-class feature, the remote engine starter. It allows you to start the engine from a range of near 120 metres.
