‘Hugs and Mugs Art Cafe’ is a pretty cool Goan pet-friendly cafe located in Mapusa, Goa. Whether it’s the first meeting, an alone time or a date, this cafe is the best to start at. Its relaxed ambiance, setting, amazingly luscious food and beverages will help sort your mood. It has the right amount of good vibes, comfort food, and great company. The place is colorful and comfy, with puppies giving you company and some indoor board games to take your mind off any kind of stress.

  2. Crab & Co, Assagao - Restaurants in Goa

Crab & Co, is a restaurant in Goa that actually justifies sea food culture and is one of the epic new restaurants in Goa. Crab being their ultimate showstopper, well, it’s a no brainer. The destination is located on an amazing Goan-Portuguese villa site bestowing its beauty in the blue sky. You can see traditional red steps that lead up to the star studded balcony with an amazing ambience and do not forget to look out for the sea food freezer flaunting drool worthy crabs and fish.

  3. Botanique Bistrot, Assagao - Restaurants in Goa

This new place is close Gunpowder in Assagao on Anjuna-Mapusa street and it’s an estate with rooms and also an eatery. Their menu was little when I went as they were just open 10 days yet they will add more to it. I had a Kingfish sandwich with tartar sauce and Ben got the meat with some squash and carrots – it was extremely great. It’s sort of got an epic feel since it’s French yet space is laid back and you can utilize the pool for 150 Rs. I think this will be an extraordinary place to run for informal breakfast with companions and utilize the pool for a few hours. It’s such an unwinding garden.

  4. Villa Vaayu, Mandrem - Restaurants in Goa

Vaayu Waterman’s Village is one of the new restaurants in Goa and is recently my favourite places to hang out. They have everything from the best tacos at their cafe, Prana, to surfboard and SUP rentals. They always had rooms at Vaayu Village but now just a couple of houses down, there is Villa Vayu which is a whole home you can rent. It’s a 3 bedroom house with is on Airbnb for $235 per night. Again, you can get $40 off. The price sounds high, but once you split it by 6 and take in the pretty unbeatable views and locations, it’s well worth it.

  5. Kuku-Nana, Vagator - Restaurants in Goa

Ahana Ghai is the sole owner of the jewellery brand, Kuka-Nana. Thalassa, gunpowder, Hugs and mugs are some of the outlets in Goa where her amazing work is displayed. To match her bubbly personality, she actually opts to make her pieces in bright colours that give an amazingly bold and quirky vibe. They are actually a great way of gifting a souvenir which actually doesn’t look like one and can be worn daily. We can often see Bollywood celebrities in her custom designs.

  6. Eva Cafe - Restaurants in Goa

Eva Cafe is not one of the new restaurants in Goa but people are actually unaware of its generosity. This is actually a couple of years old now but more and more people are starting to take notice of it. When it comes to beach shacks, this is BY FAR the cutest little restaurant on the Anjuna beach. You have to park up by the top of the hill, though and walk down there, and there aren’t too many tables so I’ve actually only been once. They are known for their shakshuka, the sandwiches were really good, they have lots of salads on the menu, and we had some falafel balls that were nice. It’s veg food (plus tuna/egg) and kind of similar to Arjuna's food but on the beach!

  7. Goa Grill, Siolim - Restaurants in Goa

This again, isn’t that new – but it’s new to me so I’m throwing it on here. They opened last season I think or maybe even the season before. This is in Siolim and they have whole grilled chicken, rotisserie-style. We used to always get chicken at the Saturday Night Market but they shut up their shop, this is is now where we go for whole chicken. No sides come with it – and you can do takeaway but you have to order it there, not over the phone.

  8. Beach Box Hotel & Cafe, Baga - Restaurants in Goa

Baga beach is the home to many new restaurants in Goa being the hippest joint in the town. A really unique hotel with restaurant and pool all from shipping containers opened up in Goa, we had to check it out. The food is mostly Indian but with some Western grills like burgers. I loved my malai chicken tikka. I would say this is great for a group coming here that wants to party and likes trance, as they had a DJ when we were there on a Sunday night. It’s dark with red lighting, so it has that trance/psych vibe there. The rooms are cool – I’ve never seen a shipping container hotel before! They have A/C and are pretty cheap for Baga. This is located just by the bridge where you’d turn to go to Go With the Flow. Parking is on the road.

  9. Goa State of Mind - Restaurants in Goa

The Goa State of Mind is inside the old Primrose in Vagator. This is a place for community vibes and trance parties. There are sometimes entrance covers, depending on who is playing. I haven’t visited yet, but a friend of a friend runs this place and he always does everything hardcore and over the top, so I’m sure it’s amazing!

  10. Burger Bar & Bakery, Siolim - Restaurants in Goa

If you like pub food, fried food then you’ll like this place. Burger Bar and Bakery is one of the new restaurants in Goa and worth visiting. It is before the bridge in Siolim, above a shop and you would probably miss it if you didn’t know about it. The things I loved here were the mozzarella sticks, chicken wings (super crispy), golden fried prawns, and the fries were like you get at a fish n chips shop in England.  The only thing I didn’t love was the nachos only because they didn’t have enough stuff on them, haha. The burger was good; I got the Mexican one but will try a regular one next time. They do 5 types of veggie burgers.
