Maharana Pratap Sagar is located in the town Pragpur and is one of the most famous man made lakes in Himachal. The lake is situated at the elevation of 450 mt across the Beas river. It is named in the honour of indian warrior, Maharana Pratap. The lake was discovered in 1975 and soon was turned into a wildlife sanctuary as a home to some major migratory and endangered birds.
